Green is in the air. Literally. Spring has come a few weeks early in my neighborhood. The trees and flowers are already blooming, fragrant scents fill the air and the sun is shining longer. It’s truly a beautiful site.
March is a green month indeed. St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner, which means parades, Irish folk music, green beer, and happy people. It’s not required that you were born with fire red locks, own an Irish Setter or enjoy drinking Guinness in order to partake in the festivities, but it doesn’t hurt either.
I found out some years ago, that part of my family does indeed hail from the Land of Green. Not knowing this before never stopped me from celebrating on St. Paddy’s day. I mean it’s pretty hard to find fault with a holiday that celebrates singing and dancing and drinking. Knowing that I have Irish heritage just makes the day a little bit sweeter.
So on March 17th, remember to wear something green, or you might get pinched or punched. It’s so not the day to wear your favorite Leonberger Hoodie, save that for Oktoberfest! Have fun, be safe, and have a Happy St. Paddy’s Day!!
